Sealing the Device
The Yabby3 has an IP68 and IK06-rated housing. To maintain the IP68 rating, the device must be sealed carefully.
How to seal the Yabby3 housing
- Ensure the clear silicone seal is in good condition, is lying flat, and is not fouled by any plastic debris or other material.
- Close the housing and gently squeeze it shut. The foam on the lid will compress against the batteries and hold them firmly in place.
- Tighten the 6 screws to a uniform tightness. On first assembly, the screws may be quite stiff.
- The screw heads are Posi-Pan head, so a Posidriv bit should be used. A Phillips screwdriver can strip the threads.
- The screws are thermoplastic screws: 2.5 mm x 8 mm (BN82428).
- If you need a stainless steel variant, use product code BN82429.
